[EDIT] content management

A CMS that matches how you work

Changing your own website should feel obvious, not technical.

Two editor screens side by side for adding an event: one with a dozen menus and formatting tools that can break on pasted text, the other a single Events screen with just name, date, time and photo.

What a CMS Is

A content management system is the private part of a website where you change it yourself: prices, photos, news, staff, opening times. Many are built to do everything for everyone, which is why they end up with a hundred menus and a page that breaks when someone pastes from Word.

We build editors around the things you actually change. If you run events, you get an events screen. If you sell cars, a list of cars with the fields a car needs. Nothing else in the way.

Common CMS Capabilities

[01]
Structured content fields

The right box for each piece of information, so pages stay consistent.

[02]
Media handling

Photos resized for the web automatically.

[03]
Page and section control

Change what you need without breaking the layout.

[04]
Drafts and approvals

Prepare a change and publish it when it is checked.

[05]
Permissions by role

Staff see the parts they are meant to.

Editors should focus on content, not formatting.

Do You Need One?

Not always. If your website changes a few times a year, it is often simpler and cheaper to send us the changes. On a care plan, small changes are included: up to an hour a month on Care (£39 + VAT) and three hours on Care Plus (£79 + VAT). If you update the site every week, or several people do, an editor built for you pays for itself.

A fork asking how often your website changes. A few times a year: send us the changes, with care plan hours of up to an hour on Care (£39 + VAT) or three on Care Plus (£79 + VAT). Every week or several people: an editor built for you, quoted first.

What It Costs

A bespoke editor is quoted on what it needs to manage, and you get the price before we start. Small websites usually start as a £49 + VAT brochure website, with an editor added later if you find you need one.

Common Questions

Do you use WordPress?

We build our own editors, because they only show what you use. If you already have a WordPress site, tell us what you need from it and we’ll tell you honestly whether it is worth replacing.

Will I need training?

A short walkthrough is usually enough, because the editor only shows what you use.

What if I break something?

Good editors make that hard. And we keep backups.

Show us the content you need to manage.
