There are no open roles at the moment. We are a small team and we hire rarely, but when we do we would rather already know you.
**Who we are**
Eightlegged is a small web and software studio at the Woodend Creative Centre in Scarborough. We build websites for local businesses, bespoke systems for organisations that have outgrown spreadsheets, and we host and look after most of what we build. You can see some of it in our portfolio, and meet the people behind it on the team page.
**Who we like hearing from**
Developers who enjoy making things work properly, especially with .NET, SQL Server and modern JavaScript. People who build and look after small-business websites and care about them loading quickly on a phone. People who film and edit short video. Students and people starting out are welcome to get in touch too: say what you have made, even if it was just for yourself.
**What it is like**
Small, calm and practical. You would talk to clients directly and see your work used by real businesses on the Yorkshire coast. We care more about clear thinking and finishing things than about job titles.
**Work experience and placements**
If you are at school, college or university nearby and want to see how websites and software are made for real businesses, ask. We can't promise a place, but we are happy to hear from you.
**How to get in touch**
Email simon@eightlegged.com with a few lines about yourself and links to things you have built, written or filmed. A CV helps but is not essential.
